About Samantha

Adopted from the Saddle Lake Reserve at the age of 3, Samantha spent much of her childhood in Sherwood Park before moving to Edmonton in 1999. She has spent the past 10 years living in Ward 10, and recently became a proud homeowner in Royal Gardens.

Samantha attended the Early Learning and Child Care program at MacEwan University, and is a level two child care provider. She also holds a Unit Clerk certificate from Norquest College. She was previously a unit clerk with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Alexandria Hospital and currently works as an administrator with the University of Alberta's Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.

She has always been an active member of the community and is passionate about volunteering. In the past, she has volunteered at art camps for children with the City Arts Centre, as a cheer coach with the Edmonton Public School Board, and with a variety of other organizations. Samantha has been politically involved for most of her life, and while at Norquest, she was a student councillor and served on the school's Academic Governance Council.

Samantha is running for city council because she believes that the residents of Ward 10 should all have equal access to the resources and amenities our city has to offer.
